Ricardo Candia Hernandez (1991) nacido en Chile, vive y trabaja en Madrid.
Inició su formación en la Escuela Argentina de Fotografía, Buenos Aires, Argentina, para luego obtener la Maestría Latinoamericana de Fotografía Contemporánea en el Centro de la Imagen, Lima, Perú.
Su trabajo como fotógrafo se desarrolla a través de la fotografía experimental y los nuevos medios, acercándose constantemente al valor objetual de la fotografía desde donde aborda temáticas como el valor simbólico de los pueblos originarios, procesos migratorios y sobre todo múltiples preguntas existenciales.
Ha participado en múltiples festivales como Rotterdam Photo Festival(Países Bajos), OFF Bratislava(Eslovaquia), JustMad(España), Enfoto Los Lagos(Chile), LoosenArt (Italia), Ambactia Memoria(Alemania), entre otros. Además también ha sido acreedor del Fondo Nacional de las Artes en la linea de circulación internacional(Chile).

Ricardo Candia Hernandez (1991) was born in Chile and lives and works in Madrid. He began his training at the Argentine School of Photography, Buenos Aires, Argentina, and then obtained the Latin American Master’s Degree in Contemporary Photography at the Centro de la Imagen, Lima, Peru.
His work as a photographer is developed through experimental photography and new media, constantly approaching the object value of photography from which he addresses themes such as the symbolic value of indigenous peoples, migratory processes and, above all, multiple existential questions.
He has participated in multiple festivals such as Rotterdam Photo Festival (Netherlands), OFF Bratislava (Slovakia), JustMad(Spain), Enfoto Los Lagos (Chile), LoosenArt (Italy), Ambactia Memoria (Germany), among others. He has also been a recipient of the National Fund for the Arts in the line of international circulation (Chile).

Mi trabajo como fotógrafo se desarrolla mediante la fotografía experimental. Planteo mi práctica a partir de diversas experimentaciones aplicadas a la imagen, buscando deconstruir la formalidad estética tradicional a través de una aproximación al carácter objetual de la fotografía.

My work as a photographer is developed through experimental photography. I propose my practice from various experimentations applied to the image, seeking to deconstruct traditional aesthetic formality through an approach to the object nature of photography.
